hi all since I got my chicks they have taken to sleeping in the nest box i have just been to clean them out and the bedding (wood shavings)was wet through with poo and not very nice will I be OK to block them off to encourage them to roost and stop sleeping there nest box one more thing what is the best type of bedding to use many thanks

I block ours off every night with a seed tray which is light enough for them to move if they need to get in there to lay an egg!
As for bedding I use newspaper with hemp bedding on top.
