Mum Hen losing lots of feathers

Hi

My hen who is Mother to 7 two week old chicks seems to be losing alot of feathers.  There is almost enough feathers to make a pillow (slight exageration!

Is she going through a mini moult or is it due to the fact that she has not ate properly for ages?
