To be fair, it's been cloudy/misty today and drizzly at times, it has only just started to clear and for the sun to appear.
So the SE corner hasn't had the same weather as wimbledon - 'down south' covers a huge area the same as up north does  ::)

And.... my bit of "down south" isn't quite in the south east it's more bottom of the south central.
Brighton gets a mention from the BBC tv interactive weather maps but never my area.

Here... damp and grey until the sun came along around at 5pm but it didn't hang around for long.  :(

And you have problems with the wind?

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Poor little devils..  :( That reminds me of bike rides along the sea-front in winter storms.

I agree.  The wind has been dreadful here.   My second attempt at sweetcorn was getting battered this afternoon.  And my second go at patty pan squash got snapped off while hardening off, the same even happened to a sturdy looking red cabbage.  Runner beans and French beans all stunted. Woeful.

Can't get near my lottie :( the wind has dammaged fruit cages so the birds have helped themselves to the fruit.
Mud everywhere, my sweetcorn are completely shredded, squashes and courgettes are showing signs of rot.
Desperatly want to dig up rest of second earlies, but the wind and rain here is horrendous!!
Can't believe that march, april and may were sooo dry, it's like a distant memory to me now.

I have just lost one of my asparagus plants.

It is young and only had one shoot which was well staked but plant and stake have been blown right over and snapped off  >:(

Heard today that my little sea-side town has the highest sunshine record on the country. This makes me feel for the rest of the UK as it's been grey, windy and miserable here for ages now.  :(
