anyone know this plant?

i have a lovely plant and have no idea what its called and i am trying to take a cuttings from it to no avail .  can anyone tell me what it is, its very small narrow leaves, the "flowers" during winter look like tiny pine cones and in spring early summer the pine cones burst into white flowers, i took a photos but dont know how to add??? cheers xxx
