brocolli when to pick

i have some calibrase brocoli with one 3 inch centre floret should i pick these as i have read they then sprout out the side,is this correct

Yes they do resprout after the top head is picked

I have just planted out some calabrese - one plant (only 6" high) has a tiny head of broccoli on it. Should I cut it off? It won't make much of a meal

Dont harvest it yet Kiki, it will still have a fair bit of growing yet, but they do grow rather fast so you wont have to long to wait for a meal
