Its the second week in June and ground frost is forecast tonight again!!!! Too many plants to protect so they will have to take their chances

Still don't know where you are Dreamer but we've had frost a lot more recently than that here

..........and it was only 6C last night, which is cold enough to upset most tender plants

My cabbage are zipped up in the back garden greenhouse along with PSB. They're not planted out only as I don't have enough netting against birds yet so maybe a lucky escape for them... Rest of the stuff is a bit vulnerable then I guess?

cabbage abd PSB are hardy plants so wouldn't mind being planted out.
It's all the courgettes/pumpkins/tomatoes sort of stuff that will struggle till it warms up.
Mine are planted out, but I have plenty of seeds if I do have to start again.

But there's not a lot most people can do for their potatoes, they're too big now to earth up and it's too big an area to even think about fleece

Thanks mumofstig, that's a bit of a relief, although my tomatoes are only in a plastic greenhouse on a concrete floor so I doubt if they're too well protected?? We'll all have to keep fingers crossed..
