Strawbs in pots and containers. Plenty leaves, no flowers. Same for courgettes actually (except they're in the ground). 2 of the easiest things to grow apparently. I must really suck at this game!

This year we've had problems with carrots, parsnips and chard not wanting to germinate. Oh, and basil and coriander too, which have done nothing but sulk and then vanish.

The weather's been too cold and too dry, and because our water butts ran dry it's likely the water from the tap has also been too cold.

We've got an excellent crop of horseradish though, somehow it's managed to migrate to a safe spot, right in the middle of the rhubarb!  ???

Carrots - they never germinate. Not giving up though. Just read somewhere that putting boards on top of them till they germinate is the answer. Put in a couple of rows today.

Commiserating with everyone who mentions spring onions - never had one in 4 years!

Chervil, coriander, amaranth, ... dead loss.

My wife's Chinese friends keep giving me oriental vegies to grow (pak choi, chinese cabbage, chinese melon, mizuna/mibuna) - they all fail too.

Good King Henry - grows like a weed but does anyone really eat that unless they are starving? Foul!
