Have just picked some flowers for the house.........pinks, a few sprigs of jasmin, sweet peas and some roses...........the perfume hits you as you go in the lounge  :) :)

What other fragrant flowers do you grow, and can recommend ?
Which ones have a good life in the vase?

Freesia. Grow them in tubs ...

That was my Mum's favourite flower. :) I'm not keen on cut flowers I prefer to see them growing in situ. I have pots of night scented stock, hoping that the evening temperatures will actually climb enough for these to flower and us to have windows open accordingly. I also love the scent from pinks, honeysuckle and.... there will be more when I remember. ::)

Can't leave out oriental lilies (on both counts!)  :)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

Nothing compares to a small but perfectly formed homegrown posy! Pinks and roses and honeysuckle for perfume, not forgetting sweetpeas, philadelphus (sp), nicotiana.........oh aren't flowers just wonderful!

Peonies are lovely and some (not all) iris. I adore mimosa, I think that's my fave!
