Fantasio Tomatoes - Spot The Difference
« on: June 06, 2011, 17:12 »
I've been given some of these tomatoes, so I looked them up to find out about them.

Dobies & Suttons seem to be using the same photo, but with a subtle difference.

See if you can "spot" (clue) it. No prizes - too easy!

Dobies

Suttons
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Kind of makes you wonder if all the red ones were coloured in by hand, doesn't it.

Something a bit more sophisticated than a Crayola crayon though!

You obviously pay more to have the Ghost Spot removed!

Not coloured in. The top right hand tomato in the Suttons photograph has an identical twin at the bottom right. The leaves of the original green tomato can still be seen peeping out from behind it.
Any day above ground is a good day.

Well spotted whiskywill, the top tomato has indeed been transposed onto the bottom one.

Aren`t Dobies and Suttons more or less the same company?
I`m left handed, what`s your excuse?

They are indeed sister companies, but I find that no excuse for tampering with catalogue photographs.

It's a clear mis-representation of the product, more so in my opinion with the editing out of the Ghost Spot in an attempt to show perfect tomatoes, rather than duplicating one of them.

I had to google Ghost Spot to find out what yopu were referring to

It is still visible on the ones on the left. Surely they could have found a truss without this to photograph?

Obviously it's easier to "Photoshop" than for the professionals to find a perfect truss. What hope do us amateurs have?

the third one down on the right seems like its been cut and pasted as it stands out from the rest. the other tomato's have glaze around the edge but that third one does not fit in well.
