Olive Tree- miracle

Finally I think my Olive tree may recover from the bad winter.

I had been a very bad person and forgot to move it and the result was a dead twig.
I was about to finally give up and I notice 1 tiny leaf, so I cut back the stem- which was totally brown right through and have been sat waiting.
OH told me I was being too optimistic, but I kept waiting, and waiting and hoping and then this week my patience has been rewarded....

OK I think it will never win at an Olive Tree show, but who cares!

One day she will be back to a form of glory!

Hopefully there is hope for our's too then! After coming through well, our's suddenly lost all it's leaves and there it has stayed. We have cut it right back, and there is some sign of green in the wood, and we are hoping.....

We've had it years and it's a good size. If it comes through it will be going in the greenhouse at the first sniff of frost this year!

They usually lose their leaves when they get flooded, didn't get overwatered did it?

Mine suffered a sever and acute case of winter...
We are on the edge of Dartmoor and it was cold, I know most of my tubs and pots froze solid- and some idiot (oh that would be me) had forgotten to move the Olive into the plastic green house.....
