If you like it, try some Florence (bulb) fennel, which seems to perform better sown later rather than sooner as high temperatures tend to make it bolt (I nearly succeeded last year but left it too late for them to reach a good size, but they did grow "properly"!)  :)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!
