Shirley Toms Spacing
« on: June 02, 2011, 08:35 »
I will be putting my Shirley tomatoes outside soon in a raised bed i have now prepared for them, could someone remind me of the spacing for them please as i cant find the packet?

Cheers MW.
I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.

I also do 18" spacing - using a 4 sided pyramid of longish canes.

The pyramid is self-supporting and using longish canes, virually vertical.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Not as such, but does this rough line drawing help?

Well, duh, given that I said I space them 18" apart, I didn't think I needed to put them on!  :tongue2:

The canes are precisely a long length each. The longer they are, the more vertical they are.
