advice required about giving flubenvet powder

Hi, could someone please advise me about mixing flubenvet powder with layers pellets.
Can I mix a batch up for the 7 days, as I am going away?
Also because its powder will it be alright to mix it up in advance with, say with olive oil or will it go rancid. I have 4 chickens. I have measured out 4kg of layers pellets which require 12g of flubenvet. Is this too much?

Hi Pammie,

That should be fine. No need to add oil really, just give the pellets a good shake up before you top them up.

Its just that I read on here that it drops to the bottom of the feeder.

Always better to have too much than too little especially if you are leaving your dears in the hands of someone else. I personally mix the flubenvet in a small amount of pellets with some cod liver oil and add more and more pellets mixing very thoroughly after each addition until it's all mixed up.
