You could try holding her in a bucket or bath of warm water for a while. This will help her relax and hopefully pass the rest of the egg. Once you have finished blow dry her feathers on a warm not hot setting.

gently remove the hanging egg shell, and definitely do a search on the forum for egg bound or broken egg. Someone will be along shortly to list the appropriate advice without you having to do a search, but have a quick look. Hopefully if nothing is left in, she'll be fine.

Alice had the same when she came back into lay, once shell and contents had passed out, she was as right as rain, just looked really sorry for herself until it was all clear.

Good luck

Hi pop her in a warm bath as this will help her relax her muscles and pop out the remains of the egg. if you can pull any bits of shell or membrane out then do so carefully. If any is left in she will need antibiotics to prevent infection from setting in.
After her bath dry her thoroughly using a warm (not hot) setting on a hair dryer.
Staffies are softer than you think.

If she's eating and drinking and looking perky, it looks like she's on the mend. It took Alice about a week to get back into laying after the soft egg issue, but she was on top form afterwards (before the fox attack anyway).

If her condition deteriorates I'd get her to a vet for some anti-biotics in case of infection.

Good luck and best wishes

Christine
