Technology 1 – Chickens 0!

Well, I have found recently that my chooks are starting to get picky!  They eat their grower’s pellets but when they get to bottom of the pot they always leave a good mug full.

Rather then topping up and letting it go stale, I have been chucking it and starting fresh every two days. 

Ive tried adding less, but there is still always remnants, they never seem to finish it!

I thought it may be just being full, but whenever I add new stuff they go crazy and gobble down as much as they can handle!

So I recorded on my phone the sound of me filling the hopper up, then watched by the cooks, took the cup I use to fill it and pretended to poor while playing back the sound!

Bingo!

They eat up all the left over in a few seconds so I can start fresh!

In the battle of Man vr’s the chicken, today… Man won!

Im sure they will find new and interesting ways of being devious to counter my new found weapon, but for now I will bask in my victory!

Muhahahahaha….    mwuhahahaha!
 

 

  Pure genius!

Brilliant idea!  Those poor little chickens really don't stand a chance! 

I've given up describing my chickens' little antics to my hubby because the conversation always ends with him saying, "So you've been outsmarted by a bunch of chickens again have you?"   

Unfortunately this is usually true.

They will of course find new ways to test me.

In the latest skirmish they have worked out that standing on the water hopper and flapping their wings causes it to fall over, making a loverly puddle.
