outdoor cucumber question

I am planning on growing 2 types of cukes this year, marketmore and a gherkin variety. Do i need to worry about cross polination as with sweetcorn? shoul i plant them at opposite ends of the plot? any advice gratfully received as this is only my second yr of cucumbers and first growinf more than one variety!

they'll be fine, even if they cross pollinate.
The only thing is that you won't be able to save the seed in the fruit, for next year.
but I don't suppose you were going to do that anyway ;)

They can cross pollinate, but as you're eating them, (hopefully) before the seeds are anywhere near mature, it shouldn't affect the taste. It'll only be a potential problem if you try to seed save.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
