[Old Barn Hens]

Hi, I have a sick chicken and not sure what to do.  Any advice would be gratefully received.
 
 We then went on holiday this week for 4 nights and came back today.  Had friend look after them for us.  Noticed one of them is not really moving.  She was sitting outside with head tucked into her neck.
 
Really worried, not sure what to do but she is one of the bigger plumpier hens.
 
Will go and monitor her for a bit but not sure what to do with her.

Met someone on holiday in January who said it came be becuase they get too much stuck in gullet and you can ease it out with olive oil and stroking the area?

Any thoughts?  Very sad.  She is an ex-batt hen and has done so well in the 6 months we have had her.

Hens often exhibit the same behaviour for a multitude of illnesses and conditions. Please take her to a vet who has experience with hens (preferably an avian vet). It's unfair to leave her feeling so poorly.
