chilli's will need a warm place at all times, rather than direct sunlight or frosted poly tunnel. if you have a green house then leave it in there.

guess practice makes perfect and you learn something everytime.

still think an unheated greenhouse will be too cold........I've had frozen water in mine before now

I have over wintered a chilli plant in the house each year for a long time.
Either in the kitchen window, or our rather sunny dining room. They have even coped with the heating failing- think it coped better than I did!
Come spring I tend to give them a haircut, and add some fresh compost.
Most years they have even carried on fruiting too.
Just dont sit it on top of the radiator (whoops- add water!- this occurred when a previously dead radiator decided to start working again!)

a much earlier start to flowering and therefore fruiting
