Many thanks to everyone for this! I'm going to go for the mix I think, and hope that the Black Rock I get is a model citizen.....
Now all I have to do is build the coop and run.....got a free shed at the weekend, so now need to figure out how to morph it into a chicken palace. :)

found this on the Forsham website which is just the thing for converting sheds to chicken coops - could you make a similar sort of thing?

iv got a black rock a bluebell and a warren
rocky is the most confident and very pretty in the sun she is very freindly
bluebell is docile and huge she looks round but elegent
they all get on very well and are 9 months old
maybe you should get a few different breeds together
4 children, 1 hubby, 2 g,pigs, 1 gecko 3 hens, 2 fish,2 cats
