what about your local Preloved site or freecycle?  I'm sure there's someone near enough to let you have a few.  I've got 4 silkie eggs here, but not enough of the others to fill a tray in the incy, so I may have to eat them!

may have to get some duck eggs as i have been trying to talkthe wife into having ducks as well as our girls, can feterlized eggs be transported ? wouldnt thinkthey wouldlast too long ?

ok what next? should have thought about this first but hell i am a guy!!
I have the eggs on order, do i need to seperate thebroody once i have them to a make shift coop with nesting box and have the mash on standby ? any previous links would be helpfull.

There's lots of brooding being discussed on the forum at the moment, I'm not any good at the linky thing, but you'll find lots of info in the hen house :D

I'm a first time brooder too, exciting isn't it :D

Got my eggs and my broody is now sat on 8, just hope she is going to eat and drink as she doesnt seem to intreasted.
