« on: May 03, 2011, 12:54 »
Hi all,
Im growing corriander for the first time, i have potted it on into a 6" pot in clumps.
Have i done this right and will i have to sow more as i harvest, or will this sowing keep comming back as cut and come again?

How do you guys grow it to get a seasonal suply?

I sow direct into half of a large container about 4 x 1 x 1 feet (old porcelain sink). The other half gets parsley. I use it all up then replant, as it comes up quickly when the weather warms up. :)

Yes, I love it too. :) I won't buy those silly little packs in the supermarket though! ::)

We do buy those from the supermarket at the moment, but 1 salad or meal and 2 or 3 full packs have gone.
Im not complaining as it's only about 70p a tub but we have it 3 or 4 times a week so it soon mounts up.

I have got a large blue tub about 2ft x 1 1/2ft  by 1ft deep, i'll use that. and it can go in the bottom of the minni greenhouse.

I've not managed to master picking and keeping the plant alive either.

I scatter a handful of seeds across the top of the shorter flower buckets every 2 weeks or so and just cut the lot off. 3 buckets in cycle should give you more than enough - I also use a shocking amount (mainly in curry).
