Muscari - increases from seeds or bulbs?

Muscari - increases from seeds or bulbs?

I have a lovely bi -colour muscari, it has tulip type leaves instead of snowdrop type leaves. It seems to be slow to increase, and i'd like to know if it increases by little bulbs or by the seed.

I'd like to deadhead the spent flowers but not at the expense of extra flowers next year.

In which case, I'd advise nipping off the dead flower heads so that the plant puts its energy into the bulbs and not the seedheads.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Perfect, that makes lots of sense, i don't think i did deadhead last year so may explain the slow multiplying.
