LIDL Growbags - Opinions?
« on: April 28, 2011, 17:10 »
Right wanted some growbags for the greenhouse and have shopped about a bit and certainly wasn't about to buy the £6 ones at Homebase just 'cos they have Jamie Olivers mug on them!

Anyway, LIDL from today are doing them at £1.19 each which was 80p each cheaper then the next cheapest I could find.

However, just opened a couple for my toms and they are quite "twiggy" if that makes sense?

Anyone here rate them at all?

I've only ever used the cheapest growbags I could find. I mix the material with my own home-made compost for all my greenhouse crops and always get excellent results. The growbag stuff is really just there to anchor the roots and doesn't have a lot of nutrient in it so your feeding regime is important. Probably more so with cheap grow bags.

I'd avoid using them for new seeds, but otherwise they should be OK
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

I've used them in the past. Found they were a little on the slim side by comparrison with some others but no problems.  ;)
