HI All,

I am sure I have read before that Corgettes do not really like direct sunshine or too much sunshine I should say. 

I am looking to plant a few corgettes in a quite shaded area, it does get good morning sun and is fairly light for early afternoon but with no direct sunshine.  Will this be suitable do you think or is more sunshine required?

They do prefer somewhere sunny and that's where all mine are grown.

Last year we grew them in a 5 am - 10 pm sunny situation. They will grow in a similar position this year.

I had a spot a bit like you describe last year.  It is shaded by some trees an gets only a little direct sunlight during the height of summer.  Spring is OK. I put some courgettes in it that were spare last year.  I managed a few from the plot but it certainly was not very prolific.  Dwarf beans were similarly dissapointing

This year I have sowed spinach in this spot as I had read that it bolts in hot sunnny sites and I hope that this will be a good position

Mediterranean crop really so I'd have said they do like full sun.

Salad leaves or spinach as Robster says might be better in that spot.
