I bought some strawberry plants from garden centre and planted them into a bag planter and placed on my patio I kept them covered with fleece until frost had gone and then covered the with a handmade netted cage, I have noticed now some of the leaves are turning brown from edge of leaf and withering away what could be the cause of this I water them maybe every other day can this problem be stopped??

have you anywhere to put them out of the sun while it is too hot.
Perhaps they haven't made enough root yet to keep up with the water they need in this heat

Did you water the leaves whilst the sun was on them, that could have led to them getting scorched a bit on the leaves and turning brown?

Yes I did it was really hot and the compost was very dry so I watered them......Silly me !!!!

Thank you for that i'll water them early morning or later evening from now as I don't want to harm them further. x
