Summer fun on the plot - in April!

I took the kids to the plot today - it was such a gorgeous day today I really thought there would be more people on their allotments, but it was pretty much us and a couple others!  Did more digging and weeding - still not got the whole lot dug over, man it's hard work! 

Lovely neighbour gave us some red cabbage and brussel seedlings, which we planted.  Radishes and beetroot have sprung up - my son is thrilled as he planted these.  The kids then proceeded to take turns filling up the watering can and watering the plants and each other!  They were soaked by the end of it - but they had a lot of fun!  I'm glad they're really starting to enjoy helping me.
