ive been given some rhubard but have to move it this weekend,should i pick all the storks first,also will this grow ok again for next year ty mick,

I would pick the stalks off, by snapping near the bottom, first. I would also think that it is most likely to come back next year. Our rhubarb "died" over the winter and we pulled it up - it was inherited when we moved here and was always in the way really. It lay around for some weeks waiting to get burned then started growing whilst lying out in the open air, so we have re-planted it elsewhere and its off again! They are pretty sturdy.

just to echo the sturdiness comment - I dug up a crown at home earlier this year, and moved it to the allotment, where it broke in half. Each half is now looking solid (although I'm leaving it alone this year), and it turns out that there was some left in the ground at home, so one plant has now become 3!

i also need to know this as my rhubarb is more under my shed than in the open so i gather i would be ok to dig it up now and move it

Rhubarb can be divided easily, but on young plants I wouldn't pick off any stalks as they need this to feed themselves. Older plants can be picked.

If the rhubarb is an older, established plant then you're likely to keep getting more rhubarb from that original spot as root bits will have broken off and begun to grow again. Younger plants are unlikely to have this problem.
