Sweet almond
« on: April 22, 2011, 02:07 »
I planted out a bare rooted sweet almond tree in late feb. It hasnt shown any sign of bursting into bud yet though.
I peeled a tiny peice of bark off to see if it was green underneath, and it looked good. According to the write up, it is an early flowerer so would have expected some signs of life by now. All my other fruit trees have flowered and set fruit now.
I there anyone else who`s got one that hasnt shown signs of busting into life yet  ???
Is it anything to be concerned about ?

IMO It'll be too busy making roots to worry about early flowering this year  ;)
