Strange goings on
« on: April 21, 2011, 17:40 »
I have a guinea fowl with my chickens and recently he has been servicing the chickens, is this normal? Will any fertilised eggs hatch? I havent heard of this happening before.

they can hatch but the guins are usually infertile I do believe. The male offspring is called a guin and the female is a guin hen (as a whole though they are known as guins)  :)
Staffies are softer than you think.

That's interesting what other birds can you cross breed?
what about a swan with an ostrich to make swastrich it will be the size of an ostrich with the elegance of a swan and it will be possible to ride on it's back and fly around : )
amazing I want one !!

Can parrokens  learn to talk like parrots ? if only we could breed hens that could speak I bet they would whinge and gossip all day like little old ladies.

No offence to all the little old ladies on the forum ;)

Would swan + ostrich = sandwich?

I would like to recreate (Jurassic Park style) the Moa.  They would see off any wandering dogs in the neighbourhood.   How many moas could I fit in a typical ebay coop?
