I've just taken delivery of a green Johanna compost bin to compliment my new 3 bay pallet bins on the plot. It was through our council & I can compost all kitchen waste in it including meat & kitchen scraps as it is a sealed bin.
Anyone else use one of these?

I've got two of the black daleks, and four made from old pallets.

I lined the insides with polythene sheeting to try and retain the heat a bit better.

On top I put corrugated sheeting,to keep the rain out ,which fills a bath at one end.

We had a dalek and hubby made one out of pallets with black plastic to cover and getting some good stuff out of it now! Amazing really how everything we've put in has broken down into proper looking compost!
