Sprouts & cauliflowers

Hi i have just purchased 10 of each of the subject plants and am wondering will i be able to put these plants in the same bed and will they need to be covered up cheers Bailz p.s any other advice welcome on this or any subject.

Yes you can put them in the same bed.
Protect young plants against birds and slugs.
Use a fine mesh net if you want to protect against cabbage butterfly or keep checking them for caterpillars.
White fly love Sprouts so interplant with marigolds or wash them off with washing up liquid.
Keep the cauliflowers well watered.

you can put them in same bed as they belong to same family (i think). they need to be netted to avoid cabbage whites...
I assume the cauli is summer/autumn harvest and the sprouts will be there for winter. so that space wont be reused this year at all.
another idea on netting is to net cauli seperately from sprouts as sprouts grow taller than caulis and they need a little bit higher netting than the caulis.
One kid is handful. Two kids.... Example for chaos theory. Hats off to my mum who managed three...

If the sprouts are a tall variety use stakes to stop them rocking in the wind.

The soil must be very firm for brassicas and especially sprouts and cauliflowers, so tread it down hard before planting.
