Won't a good thick gravy disguise it?  Covers a multitude of sins with my cooking.

Bad luck Munty.  There's been a lot of rust about this summer.  You should have  seen my late planting of broad beans

A bit of WD40 usually fixes rust.

Just pleased to help.

Aww sorry Munty

My broad beans were covered in it but luckily it only took hold just as I was harvesting them so the pods were mostly unaffected.

The italians do a thing with onions and tomato puree (you could cook it up and then freeze them).   We do it by frying the onions, then adding the beans (sliced) with a little water and tomato puree, then lid on and cook on very low heat for about 10-15 mins.

Rust colour will then magically disappear. (!)
