What can I grow in hanging baskets?

Edible things, that is.

I thought I'd try some Tumbling Toms, but what else would be suitable for growing in hanging baskets? Any ideas?

Strawberries.

I'm adding basil to some of my toms baskets too

My brother grew all sorts in baskets last year - very small garden.

Herbs, lettuce, toms, mixed salad, strawbs probably more just can't think of any right now (it's been a long day!).

My fave toms for baskets are 100s and 1000s because they look stunning and taste fab (I don't think any of them lasted long enough to make it into the house!). Looking at the huge cascade of yellow flowers you wouldn't think they were grown for practical reasons. I personally wouldn't try to put anything else in with them because I find they cover the whole basket very quickly.

I also like to grow mini-cucumbers with mixed salad leaves around them.

Tumbling Toms every time.  I grew them in one basket when I moved in last year and they were so good I have now decided on three baskets this year.

Agree. You can get a Yellow TT. I have one basket of each at home.
They freeze as well, greet with  bacon on toast.

Yes, I've bought some yellow TT seeds and they're now germinating nicely.  It's too soon - way too soon - to put in the baskets yet, but they'll be ready when late May/early June comes.

Nasturtiums - look good and their leaves taste good in salads.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.
