This is probably a really stupid question but I ordered some erlicheer daffodil bulbs ages ago which I completely forgot about and they have just literally turned up, so when am I supposed to plant them?  They flower from may onwards so are very late for daffodils so do I still plant them octoberish or some other time?  The leaflet that came with them is completely useless and just a general daffodil one which I'm not sure would still apply.

If anyone knows I'd appreciate it!  Thank you :o)

You should have planted them in the autumn 
Plant them asap, they may grow, they may not.............but they deffo won't if you don't plant them............that is assumong the bulbs haven't dried out completely, or even rotted away

Then why on earth are they delivering them in April?!  Surely they should send them out in autumn if that is when they are to be planted?

Aaaaahhhhhhh...done a bit of Googling
it seems that you can buy 2 'sorts' of bulbs 1 for autumn planting and one for planting now

They have been treated to plant now to flower in summer, but it seems that in later years they revert to earlier flowering

Thank you so much!  That's great.  I googled it too but couldn't find anything about planting!  I'm a bit disappointed they come up in spring next year as I was hoping to extend my daff period, but never mind.  Into pots tomorrow with them then :o)
