Hi all,
Does anyone know about, or have an opinion on, peacocks as pets?

they can be very difficult to breed from, they can be very very noisy and hate shiny cars - the males have been known to attack cars when they see their reflection as they think they are an intruder  :lol:
Staffies are softer than you think.

As joyfull says they can be very noisy and very prone to attack.  They also need a lot of space and if you consider the amount of muck a chicken produces and then compare it to the size of a peacock you may have to tread very carefully!   ;)

But they are beautiful and personally I love hearing the peacocks that live in the village.

The people in the "big house" in our village have peacocks. Think they spend more time in the village than in the gardens of the "big house" - wouldn't exactly call them pets!

The young (think they are last years young) decided to pay a visit to our front garden the other day while I was sorting out - made themselves at home in the front flower bed.

I'll see if I can dig out the pictures I took when I get home - especially the one of my 3 year old daughter telling them to shoo from the other side of the garden - they just gave here the imperious "i'm bigger than you, come back when your brave enough to come within 2m of me" look, lol.

The only thing I know about them is they love orange Club biscuits.  I wos mugged gov - I wos well and truly mugged for my biscuit after a picnic in Charlecote park  :ohmy: ...  Not fussed by mint ... ::)
