The Daily Coop - afternoon supplement
« on: April 06, 2011, 13:15 »
All at the coop having a relaxing day in the sun.

Alphie and the Supermodels are out in the garden.  The Supermodels decided a spa treatment of garden border earth was in order

Alphie tutted and clucked over them, but decided if you can't beat them..........

The Herberts reckon they are too grown up now to be called scraggy chicks so please welcome little miss Blue Orp

and little miss Choccy Dottie

They have also learned that offered hands contain treats  ;)

Hope not - got 2 little monster boys already   ::)

I've sent a piccie back to the breeder to see what she thinks.  She did say if they were late developers she would take them back.  I think the orp is a girl.  The dottie has got a red comb, but still can't see 'boy' whattles so got my fingers crossed  ;)

Sweet chicks.  Little darlings!
When I die I will slide in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand and chocolate in the other, screaming, "Whooo hooo!  What a ride!" as life is to be enjoyed to the fullest!

Got an email back from the breeder to say that she still thinks I have a choccie dottie pullet as she has hatched and grown them on before and seen combs like this on birds she has kept.  The wattles are not developing like a cockerals would so I have my fingers crossed as I would hate to part with one of the Herberts.  They are such good friends now and I am such a softie I am already attached to them both   ::)

The breeder is a lovely lady who has said send another piccie in a couple of weeks just to be sure and if she is actually a boy, there will be no problem taking him back  :D
