Hi Just placed an order for the above at Mr Fothergills seems a good deal to me.  Apparently its a heritage variety does anybody have any info on this IE taste, disease resistance etc.

When I was a young mum, I used to pick strawberries on the farm, to earn some pin money
We picked Royal Sovereign and they were really delicious, I think I ate as many as I put in the basket
I don't think the modern varieties taste any better but they tend to crop over a slightly longer period IMO

It is indeed 12 for £2.95 (typing error), what a bargain if free P&P.  Great to see so many people taking up the offer.  Hope we can all return after the season to give our comments re crop, taste, etc.

Are you sure its £2.95p?    I was tempted but when I went to visit the Mr Fothergills site,  I see:

yay, thank you very much for the tips & promotion code everyone - I've just bought the strawberries with free p&p and I too went for the 5 Orange Wonder peppers as well, all for just £5.90p      Now that's what I call a real bargain.  Cheers

Another lot here too with free P&p (and a brassica 50 plant collection for £12.90 which i know is expensive but with everything else to do and windowsill's running out i thought 'oh stuff it'....)
