 My little girl (only 18 months) has taken to digging up the just germinating salad leaves from the pots around the garden.  Just caught her in the greenhouse in time making a bee line to the toms and chillies.

I get no help either but I've got used to it. He's such a klutz so I'm quite relieved  :D

It is good to have hobbies to share but you can't have everything I suppose. It makes you envy other folks who share cooking and enjoy being in the kitchen together or working together on the plot.  We plough a lonely furrow  :D
Ditto - but at least he does not interfere! and ... he steers well away from my seedlings so no murder (yet!)

Deep breath taken this morning and I have checked the seedlings out of 6 pots we have 1 with 2 seedlings still poking through so I have sprayed all 6 pots now fingers crossed. And I have forgiven her.  ::) ::) ::) ::)

Ah harmony is restored. Just keep them clean and tidy and well organised and then there'll be no cause for complaint. Taps foot  :D

My husband hates seed trays all over the place but he has to suffer as he won't put power to my greenhouse so I can't work in there of an evening or during the darker nights without a paraffin lamp. So I just bought the whole lot indoors and filled our new conservatory last year with loads of seed trays and pots.  I got a pasting table out and set that up in the middle of the room too  :D  He was thrilled  :tongue2:

Yep - its a common problem, a puppy I fostered took my tomato plants out of their pots and shook them to death by the roots then chomped the pots!!!  BONNIE!!!

Mr S regularly rotovated through crops on the plot even when I had pointed out where stuff was. Trouble was he  didn't really listen & then got carried away trying to get it all done as fast as possible so he could get gone until I hit in the idea of sticking canes in with a plastic bag tied to the top so he could see it.

I have been cold blooded murdering today!
I vowed not to pot up more than six tomato plants of each variety , it feels so wrong to bin perfect tomato seedlings but better to 'cull' now rather than later and waste more compost.
200% extra plants is a big enough safety margin..........isn`t it? :(

My four year old, Rhys, insisted on coming to the plot last night to 'help'. Three squashed shallot crowns and five squashed red baron onion sets later.......

My 5 year old is pretty good at weeding the veg patch. Last year however my 3 year old (2 at the time) weeded out all but 4 of the sweetcorn. 'twas a sad day.

My OH last year hoed through the roots of my squash plants  - His answer he thought they were weeds.  My reply  -  have you ever seen weeds stretch over 8 foot in length with large round orange things attached  ???
