All mine are going in around  the 2nd of April, still too cold at night and frosts forecast overnight.

1st week in April for me as done for the last 15 years (or more  ::) ::) )
I used to work in a helium gas factory, but I walked out, no one talks to me like that.

It was my plan today, but by the time maintenance jobs were done, I didn't. Hopefully at the weekend  :)

When all's said and done, taking into account Good Friday, St. Patrick's Day, New Moon, Full moon, they go in at a time convenient to me and when the weather's right.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I put some swift in yesterday, i have had a bed covered for a month to warm the soil and now they have a double layer of fleece keeping them warm

Other earlies will go in in a fortnight or so with similar intervals for second earlies and mains

There's no reason why you have to delay planting second earlies and maincrop.  They need  progressively longer growing periods and can go in at the same time as your first earlies.

That's good to know. Mine all go in at the same time providing I have time to do it and I think the weather's about right. Still waiting.  ;)

Everyone here tells me we dont have frosts after 15 March, so anytime after then is OK to plant tatties - well, anytime the lunar calendar says is a 'root planting day', that is.  Have to follow the moon for planting schedules around these parts. ;) ;) ;)

Too cold to plant anything out up here.  I had to scrape the frost of the car windscreen this morning.

As ever DD is correct but last year I had my earlies in pots on the patio so was able to easily cover at the first sign of frost so lost none of them. My maincrop was on my allotment and I had rather a lot of them. I found it really difficult to protect so many, even running out of soil to earth up at one point and losing half a row.

This year I am going to leave it for my maincrop until April but might put my earlies into pots this weekend knowing I should be able to keep them covered if need be.

That's my plan too. I have some First & Second Early in bags (planted mid Feb) and some more Second Early in bags planted mid March  (Second Early as we prefer Charlotte, but one bag of Arran Pilot First Early to get the first weeks crop as early as possible!)

And then I plant to plant outdoors fairly well into April. I planted 7th April last year and still had trouble keeping the frost off the First Earlies (and the Seconds and Mains weren't that much easier). I know the late frost last year was unusual, but ...

So I will plant 1st Early outside in 1st week of April, but leave 2nds and Mains until 15th April I think.

Last year I planted half the 1st early, and then the second half a fortnight later - so we were still lifting "new potatoes" when we got to the second batch.
