I've subscribed - it's good for working out succession planting / rotation if, like me, you have the memory of a what-yer-call-it?, tip-of-my-tongue, ah goldfish, showing the risk of planting plants of the main families over successive years.

It's also useful, once you have your beds laid out etc for working out quantities of plants (I'm often rather over optimistic with my estimations).

I've sort of fallen off using it, maybe over this long drawn out winter, will look to start using it properly in the next few weeks I guess. I don't begrudge the authors a few quid, I value my time, and have no desire outside of work to play with excel more than I need.

I used GrowVeg to plan my 2011 plot and will use it to plan 2012 as well.

Aside from planning it also sends you twice monthly email reminders of what to plant based upon your plan.

Shoot me down, I know folk will, but I could find a better use for the £15 you fork out yearly to replace a pencil and paper!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I nearly thought you said etch-a-sketch then !!

Looks very good but I,ll stick to my pencil and paper, for the time being at least..
I used to work in a helium gas factory, but I walked out, no one talks to me like that.

Oh dear, I think I am very sad but I use Excel and have the last three years for crop rotation, but I also add little pictures what I am planting such as carrotts and onions etc.

As they say 'little things please little minds'. :)

I don't "plan" my planting.   I follow a rotation of course but I don't need a plan.
