so how will it affect the brandlings when I fork the manure in?

They won't be putting you on their Christmas card list (especially if blackbirds or robins get to them first!)

(They'll eventually migrate somewhere where the menu is more to their liking!)  :)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older

http://www.allaboutworms.com/types-of-worms

Seems theres only about 4,000 different kinds    :D

Not that this has anything to do with gardening but it just occurred to me...

Did you know that thread worm is more common than headlice in primary school children?

No... I guess not and you would have probably been quite happy not knowing too.   :blink:
Sorry.  ::)

They'll move over for a while, then they'll sing a song, shout goody goody dinners here, they'll grab your fork and start looking for a knife    :D

Bill

We both know exactly what you mean. Our ground was almost devoid of worms when we started the veg beds, now its a joy to be able to let the robins and blackbirds fill their boots.

Chickens love 'em......they follow me to the daleks at the bottom of the garden hoping I'll scrape some off the insides of the lids!!!
Thats something that always puzzled me... why do they hide in the dalek lid? Shouldn't they be getting busy in the compost? I always have tonnes of them looking like they're trying to escape
