Just noticed someone saying that theyd made a cold frame onto soil with glass and bricks.. I have a supply of glass at the school garden.. What could I best use a cold frame for now?? Salad?? Any ideas welcome  :)

I have sown carrots and planted some lettuce in mine, did the same last year and everything did well.

Sounds a good idea muckshifter  ;)

Fisher, is the cold-frame going to be on the school site? Only asking as the glass might be a dodgy to have if the children are young and can get to it. health and Safety and all that  ::)

Maybe Ill try some salad then- I'd check out the safety aspects Learner! but I think it could be used with care-- maybe cover any edges...... next to find some bricks!
