We were told tonight that we can have the plot next door to us. So excited, although this only means we now have a full-size plot.
Apparently someone has given up, and he had the equivalent of four plots, so with his, and the other ones being given up, the people on the waiting list can be allocated plots and we can have ours.
We have already made a list of what we want to plant next year, and will spend the next few months digging out the roots and then will plant a green manure to dig in in spring.

We are going to plant some fruit, ironic really as we have to get all the bramble roots out first!
Basically our first plot is really a half plot, and two of us work it so we had it filled in three months, so we have made a list of all the things we like to eat and will try all of them.
Also, more potatoes. A few flowers for cutting.
Oh, we are full of plans, can't wait to get stuck into the digging!!

People already back away nervously when I get my camera out - they know they are going to have to look at the allotment and the veg we have picked.
