I bred some bantams they are about 5 months old because we had such an awful winter I had them in a covered run dog kennel and they stayed there longer than normal. A week or so ago I moved them to a house and run, they could see all my other hens enjoying free ranging, we got some sunny days so I let them join the others, the first night all bar one came back and settled for the night, one missing, she is bluer (colour) than the others, we searched everywhere and every half an hour or so had another look. I was very sad as she had always been a bit of a favourite, next morning I hunted around again, later in the day I glanced out of a window and spotted her under a tree, I went round and picked her up, she was cold and hungary, aft Sorry I have rambled on er a spell in the kitchen in the warm and a mashed boiled egg she looked a bit better, put her back in the original kennel, kept her there for a few days and she perked up, I then returned her to the house with her family, she peers out through the door, but will not go out, I put food in the house with her which she is eating, any ideas. This group who only felt rain this week, do not like it and rush to the dry at the first drop.
Tried to post a pic but think I failed.
