Hi there

I want to paint the inside of my new shed white. I have accepted the price of Cuprinols Shades Paint for the exterior(well if I I do have to have a trendy shade I have to pay for it)... but is there a cheaper suitable paint I can use to paint the inside white?

If it's going to be watertight in there, is there any reason you can't just use plain old white emulsion?

That cuprinol shades stuff is rubbish. If the wood has been treated with anything it may bleed through regular emulsion, for a proper job id use Bdec Barn paint.  But you could roll the dice with regular emulsion but it would have a lower thermal expansion coefficient than the timber of your shed, moreover the shed is outside and it will be subject to more moisture than emulsion is designed for (depends on how well the outside is sealed from the elements etc)

if you use a paint or preservative outside is there not a risk colours and drips etc will come through making a mess of the inside UNLESS you use same colours ??
