slugs in potatoes
« on: February 11, 2011, 16:40 »
Hi I am a newbie to this site. I grow veg in my garden quite a decent size but not an allotment. I have been reading recently about a product to stop slug damage in potatoes called Bio Friendly Banish which you water in and is claimed to rid you of slugds for up to 9 months. Has anybody used this and what were the results. thank you.

Hi shankers & welcome to the fourms.

I've moved your post to GYO where it may get more views from the gardeners.

Please pop back to the welcome forum and tell us a bit about yourself.

Your rough location in your profile may be of future help.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Hello shankers and welcome. :) I haven't used the product you refer to, but I'm sure if someone has they'll have a report for you.

We have a similar problem, primarily with just one of our raised beds.

We were debating trying Nemaslug, which we understand wont be available again until sometime in spring.

Would also be interested to hear of success or otherwise by those who have used it.
Unless otherwise stated it can be assumed ALL posts are by Pa Snip

I recall Nemaslug being discussed here in the past.

Thanks, I've now done a search and got what seems to be positive answers for that particular product
