Dipped eggs!

I sold my first box of eggs the other day, it contained three dark brown wellsummer eggs and three beautiful blue/green legbar eggs. (All part of my long plan to sorce the right hens etc for the best colour eggs) When the lady who brought them saw me again she said ''did you dip those green eggs to make them that colour?''  :blink: She then told me that they had eaten the brown ones and they where dellicous, but by that i got the impresion that they had not even tried the blue ones! All that money i spent on legbars and the long wait for them to start laying and thats the reaction i get!!! 

Is that true you can get ducks that lay black eggs what breed are they? Oh listen to me i sound just like my egg lady!!

When I first started selling surplus eggs to people at work, they were very suspicious of the blue eggs.  One person even had his kids on that the blue and white eggs were actually parrot eggs!  Now if I dare give them a box without a blue egg in they complain as apparently they make the best yorkshire puddings!!

It's just a matter of education I'm sure
