just been down the plots now floods and frezing weather has gone and land has dried out lost about 95% of all crops :( :( only got a few onions left the rest has just rot away in the ground so back to the start and put in the seeds and hope i catch up . all have a good times bgb
remember plants can't read books

A lot of folk get that same problem this time of year, so you're not alone.  Even experienced gardeners get caught out by the weather.

i lost 14 leeks and half a dozen calabreeze plants  :blink:

What are you gonna do with that lot now big green bloke?  Will it all go in the compost?  Hopefully then whatever goodness and nutrients there are in that inedible veg will eventually go back in the ground and you'll be able to benefit from it in the lnger term??  I know it must be small consolation though.  We have broccoli which looks as though it's been ravaged by frost.

The cold we had in December was so severe that a lot of things that normally survive the winter were lost. All I have now is a patch of about 30 leeks and some of them are looking bent and slimy  :(
