The sweet potato itself, if set up properly, will sprout, and when large enough, the sprouts are taken off and planted and these are what your crop will grow from.

Wow, now I know what i'm looking for.  :D  I was looking in the water at the potato for something! :ohmy:
Goes of to examine.........

.......Comes back again to say absolutely no change ::), but not really expecting anything for another two weeks anyway, so i wont give up.

You're welcome. Sweet potatoes really are an oddity in the plant world when it comes to growing. The last thing you expect is to have to pull off the top growth for planting to get the real crop. Makes the world interesting I suppose  8)
