What's your vital allotment kit
« on: February 03, 2011, 19:01 »
Just getting my allotment bucket ready for tomorrow and I can't be the only one who has a little routine for this.

I always have a fork and spade in the boot of the car and my bucket always has a hand trowel and fork, string, carrier bags for bringing veg home and I add a water bottle of orange squash and heat mug of coffee.  Other items come and go depending on what I want to do, but I can't even think of leaving home without my basic kit  :D

sounds about right! I haven't ever taken alcohol onto the plot!!
small, Welsh and almost certainly bonkers, but can be tamed with Talisker, if required

essential equipment in the shed............spade and fork, twine and string for lines, hoe and hand trowel, carrier bags and wellies.

Other tools and stuff move between house and garden, but these are always there at the ready :)

Penknife, 2 buckets (one for compostable weeds and the other for the mares tail roots etc) and gloves (I know I am soft but I do find that I work quicker with them on)!

Floppy hat to keep the sun (what's that?) off my head. It's important when you've managed to grow through your hair!  :tongue2:
